Chocolate Star Cookies



Happy Valentine’s Day !! I hope my readers are enjoying their day with the loved ones !! This valentine I got a great surprise, Betty Crocker’s Cookbook: Everything You Need to Know to Cook Today 🙂 This is a wonderful book, has detailed explanations and lots of awesome recipes ! I will be trying from this book and posting soon 🙂 Love to all !!

Makes 30-35 biscuits

Preparation time – 20 minutes

Baking time – 12 minutes

Baking temperature – 180 Degree Celsius



  •     Cocoa Powder – 2 tablespoons
  •     Margarine (White butter) – 100 grams
  •     Powdered sugar – 100 grams
  •     Flour (Maida) – 200 grams
  •     Egg – 1 or Cold water – 3 Tablespoon



  •    Preheat the oven at 180C
  •     Mix margarine and sugar till light and fluffy with a hand beater
  •     Add sieved flour and egg/cold water to the batter and whisk well
  •    Now put the dough on the marbled kitchen top and knead to form dough
  •    Sprinkle flour on the marble and start rolling out the dough, keep rolling from centre to the side and then rotate the dough 1/4   and roll out again till you get thickness of 1/2 inch
  •     Using a star cookie cutter, cut out the dough and arrange on the baking tray; roll out the dough again till all of it is used
  •     Bake till golden at edge
