Baked Fish

Today’s invention in the kitchen was another healthy item. Fish. I love fish! Fried, steamed, baked, poached I can eat it any way.

My chacha, Dr. Sanjeev Trehan taught me how to make this kind of fish last night. It’s fresh, healthy, wholesome and very quick and easy to make.

Ingredients:

• Fish Fillets – 6 pc (I used Basa)
• Olive oil – 1 tsp
• Salt – to taste
• Pepper – to taste
• Seasoning/herbs – 1 tsp
• Garlic powder – 1/2 tsp
• Ginger powder – 1/2 tsp
• Red Wine vinegar – 1/2 tsp

Method:

• Clean the fish well with water
• Preheat oven at 180C
• In a baking tray, make a base with aluminium foil
• Place the fish fillets on it
• Drizze the oil and then sprinkle the salt, pepper, seasonings, herbs and garlic ginger powder on the pieces
• Cover the fish with another piece of foil and put in oven
• Bake for 10-12 minutes at 180C
• Take the tray out and check with a fork if the fish is done then drizzle with vinegar and serve
• It tasted best with Nando’s piri piri hot sauce
