Spaghetti Bolognese



For Spaghetti:

  • Spaghetti – 1 packet
  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp
  • Butter – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper – to taste
  • Oregano – 1 tbsp

For Bolognese: (Meat Sauce)

  • Minced Meat – 1/2 kg
  • Onions – 6 no (Big)
  • Tomatoes – 6 no (Big)
  • Garlic – 6 cloves
  • Ginger – 1 stick
  • Salt  – to taste
  • Pepper – 2 tsp
  • Red Chilly Powder – 1 tsp
  • Tomato Chilly Sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Tabasco – 1 tbsp
  • Oregano – 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp


For Spaghetti:

  • Boil the water with salt and olive oil, add spaghetti to it and let boil for about 10 – 15 minutes till ready.
  • Strain the spaghetti once boiled, and then rinse them under cold water to avoid them from sticking.
  • In a pan, melt butter and add the spaghetti and season with oregano, pepper and salt only if required

For Bolognese: (Meat Sauce)

  • Heat olive oil in a pan, and chopped onions to it and let them brown. This will take roughly about 5 – 10 minutes.
  • While the onions are being sautéed one side, make puree of the tomatoes with garlic and ginger.
  • Wash the minced meat and add to the sautéed onions, when the meat looses its color from the pink to brown, add the tomato, garlic and ginger paste to it.
  • Mix well so that the meat is soaked well with the onion and tomatoes.
  • Add the sauces and seasoning to the meat
  • Now keep the flame on low, cover the pan with a tight lid and stir occasionally so that the meat doesn’t burn.
  • The meat will take about 40 – 5o minutes to cook.

To plate it up place the spaghetti in circles and add the meat sauce in the centre.
